Casey
Martinique-born rapper Cathy Palenne, aka Casey, claims to be a politically
committed artist, her songs attacking violence, racism and France's colonial
past. The La Rumeur protégée broke free in 2006 with her debut album Tragédie
d'Une Trajectoire, followed in 2010 by Libérez La Bête, after a collaboration
with Noir Désir guitarist Serge Teyssot-Gay's Zone Libre.
