Chairlift
In 2008, Chairlift was one of the revelations of this hard-to-identify scene,
led by MGMT. Originally from Colorado, but having emigrated to New York, the
three members of Chairlift, artisans of an indie rock tinged with electro and
pop, delivered a critically acclaimed debut album at the end of 2008, Does You
Inspire You. Chairlift proved they were more than just a passing fancy with
Something in 2012. After a solo interlude under the pseudonym Ramona Lisa,
Caroline Polachek joined Patrick Wimberly to put together the third album, Moth,
released in January 2016.
