Anthony Taylor (performing as Charnell; born June 17, 1978) is a German rapper
and Mixed Martial Arts fighter from Berlin. Taylor was raised in the Wedding
district, experiencing a youth characterized by gang violence that informed his
musical themes. In 1996, Taylor co-founded the group 4 4 da Mess, releasing the
EP Mein Leben in 1997. The recording was a novelty in German hip-hop for its
focus on social flashpoints. After the group disbanded in 1998, Taylor formed
