Chas & Dave, an English pop-rock duo composed of Charles Nicholas "Chas" Hodges
and David Victor "Dave" Peacock, originated in London. The duo began their
musical journey together in 1972 after first meeting in 1963. Originally part of
various groups throughout the 1960s and 1970s, they later joined forces to form
Chas & Dave following a period as session musicians and backing band members.
Their breakthrough came with their first single "Gertcha", released in 1979,
