Chief Kamachi, a rapper from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, began his career in the
mid-1990s. He founded JuJu Mob and was an original member of Army of the
Pharaohs, a collective initiated by Jedi Mind Tricks. Chief Kamachi's music
often explores themes related to the Black Consciousness Movement, religion,
politics, and the future. His debut album, Cult Status, was released in 2004 on
Good Hands Records. The single "The Best", featuring Guru from Gang Starr,
