Austrian harpist, lutenist, theorbist and guitarist Christina Pluhar, born in
Graz in 1965, is best known for having founded the ensemble L'Arpeggiata in
2000. She studied early music repertoire at the Conservatory of The Hague
(Netherlands) and at the Schola Cantorum Basilensis in Basel (Switzerland) with
Hopkinson Smith, and Baroque harp with Maria Galassi in Milan. After attending
masterclasses with Paul O'Dette and Andrew Lawrence-King, Christina Pluhar moved
to Paris in 1992, performing with ensembles such as La Fenice, Hespérion XX, Les
Musiciens du Louvre, Ricercar Consort...
