Christopher Stephen Clark, known mononymously as Clark, was born on August 29,
1979 in St Albans, Hertfordshire, England. He began making music as a teenager
and experimenting with building his own equipment. While attending Bristol
University, he impressed staff at Warp Records playing under the moniker Chris
from St Albans at their Nesh party in December 2000. This led to his signing
with Warp Records and the release of his debut album Clarence Park in April 2001
