Claude Berkeley Williamson, born on November 18, 1926 in Brattleboro, Vermont,
was an American jazz pianist. He studied at the New England Conservatory of
Music before transitioning to jazz. In 1947, he moved to California and worked
with artists such as Teddy Edwards and Red Norvo. He became a member of the
Lighthouse All-Stars in the late 1950s. In 1968, Williamson began working as a
pianist for NBC on The Andy Williams Show. He returned to jazz in 1978,
releasing albums such as La Fiesta (1979) and Claude Reigns (1984). Williamson
passed away on July 16, 2016.
