Colleen Hewett
Colleen Hewett, born April 16, 1950, in Bendigo, Australia, is an Australian pop
singer and actress who began performing with the Esquires and on The Go!! Show.
She launched her solo career in 1970, signing with Festival Records and
releasing the single "Superstar" in June 1971, followed by the chart-topping
"Day by Day" from the musical Godspell, which peaked at Number 1 on the Go-Set
National Top 40 and earned a gold record. Her self-titled debut album, Colleen
Hewett, appeared in October 1972, and her second studio effort, M'Lady, followed
