Daniel Grafton Hill IV, known as Dan Hill, was born on June 3, 1954, in Toronto,
Ontario. He is a Canadian singer and songwriter who began his musical journey at
a young age, receiving his first guitar shortly after his tenth birthday. While
still in high school, Dan Hill performed at concerts and coffee houses. In 1972,
he signed with RCA Records, releasing a single the following year. His
breakthrough came in 1975 when GRT Records released his first Canadian hit
single "You Make Me Want to Be", followed by his eponymous debut album. In 1977,
