Dan Romer, born on 24 March 1980 in Manhattan, New York City, is an American
composer, songwriter, producer and multi‑instrumentalist. He began his career
playing guitar and keyboards in local bands before shifting focus to film
scoring, with his first notable work on the independent feature Beasts of the
Southern Wild in 2012. Dan Romer’s subsequent projects include the Beasts of No
