Daniel toro
Daniel Cancio Toro was an Argentine folk singer and composer born on January 3,
1941, in Salta. He began his professional journey at age seventeen, co-writing
“Para ir a buscarte” with Ariel Petrocelli. After performing with ensembles such
as Los Nombradores, he launched a solo career in 1966. Toro achieved a major
breakthrough at the 1967 Festival de Cosquín, where he received the Premio
