Danny Ray, born September 3, 1951, in Kingston, Jamaica, is a reggae singer and
producer who started his career in Jamaican talent shows in the early 1960s. He
moved to the UK in 1965 and joined the Royal Air Force, forming the band Danny
Ray and the Vibrations while posted in Germany. After leaving the Air Force, he
returned to the UK and formed Danny Ray and the Falcons, recording "The
Scorpion" for MCA Records. In the early 1970s, Danny Ray recorded for Trojan
Records, releasing successful singles such as "Don't Stop", "Sister Big Stuff",
