Dany Doriz

Dany Doriz, born Daniel Dorisse, is a French jazz vibraphonist and bandleader who was born in 1941 in Boissy-Saint-Léger. He studied classical piano and saxophone before focusing on the vibraphone at age 16 after being influenced by the music of Lionel Hampton. In 1970, he became the owner and musical director of the Paris jazz club Caveau de la Huchette, where he performed with artists including Wild Bill Davis, Ray Bryant, and Eddie Jones.
