Das Kapital
A cosmopolitan trio formed in 2002, Das Kapital comprises a German saxophonist
(Daniel Erdmann), a Danish guitarist (Hasse Poulsen) and a French drummer
(Edward Perraud). Six years devoted to improvisation serve as a prelude to Das
Kapital's goal of (re)discovering the music of composer Hanns Eisler (1898-1962)
in its own free jazz way. A Lenin on Tour and two albums, including Conflicts
and Confusions (2011), mark the band's career.
