Dave Barbour

David Michael Barbour, born on May 28, 1912, in Long Island, New York, was an American jazz guitarist. At age 12, he performed at Carnegie Hall as a banjoist. Barbour began his professional career with Adrian Rollini in 1933 and Wingy Manone in 1934 before switching to guitar mid-decade. He played with Red Norvo from 1935 to 1936, and later worked as a studio musician with Teddy Wilson, Billie Holiday, Artie Shaw, and others.
