David Karsten Daniels
David Karsten Daniels is an American singer-songwriter born in 1979 in Lubbock.
He studied music composition at Southern Methodist University where he recorded
the material for his first two albums, The Mayflower (2000) and Out From Under
Ligne 4 (2001). After signing with the label Fat Cat Records, he released the
albums Sharp Teeth (2007) and Fear of Flying (2008). In 2010, Daniels issued the
album I Mean to Live Here Still, which used texts by Henry David Thoreau and was
named by NPR as one of the 5 best genre-defying albums of 2010. His later
