Dear Silas
Dear Silas is an American rapper and singer from Jackson, Mississippi. Born
Silas Stapleton III in 1986, he began playing the piano at age eight and the
trumpet at age 11. While attending high school, he began freestyling and
recorded his first mixtape. He gained national recognition in 2016 for the
single “Gullah Gullah Island”. His debut studio album The Day I Died appeared in
2016. In 2018, Dear Silas signed a recording deal with RCA Records which
