David Arnold Augustine Jr. is an American rapper, author, and educator born on
April 10, 1985, in New Orleans. Known professionally as Dee-1, he graduated from
Louisiana State University in 2008 and taught middle school mathematics for two
years in Baton Rouge. Augustine reached wider visibility in 2010 after the
