Denim were an English indie-rock band formed in 1992 by Lawrence Brian
O'Shaughnessy in Birmingham, England, after his departure from the post‑punk
outfit Felt. The group first attracted attention with the single "Middle of the
Road", released in January 1993 on Boy's Own Records and reaching number 78 on
the UK Singles Chart. That same year, Denim issued their debut album Back in
Denim, a blend of glam rock and satirical lyrics that both revived and critiqued
the 1970s music scene. The follow‑up Denim on Ice appeared in 1996, preceded by
the single "It Fell Off the Back of a Lor...
