Born Wu Xian on 17 April 1982 in Jiaxing, Zhejiang, Ding Dang, also known
professionally by her English stage name Della Wu, is a Chinese Mandopop who has
built her career in Taiwan. After setting her sights on singing from an early
age, she looked to her favourite cartoon character Doraemon for inspiration for
her Ding Dang moniker and cut her teeth as a cabaret singer before taking on a
singing gig in a bar in Hangzhou's World Trade Center. She secured a deal with
