Disillusion
The Leipzig-originating progressive metal band Disillusion was founded in 1994
by Andy Schmidt (guitar/vocals), Tobias Spier (who left the band in 1997), Alex
Motz (who left the band in 1997), Markus Espenhain (who left the band in 1996),
and Jan Stölzel (who left the band in 1997). With Andy Schmidt as their only
constant member, the group went on to release a string of demos and EPs between
1994 and 2004, including the Rehearsal demo of 1995 and the Three Neuron Kings
EP of 2001, before stepping out with their debut full-length, Back to Times of
Splendor. Released in 2004 on Me...
