Marqus A. Brown, born November 2, 1981 in Baltimore, Maryland, is an American
hip‑hop DJ and producer who moved to the San Francisco Bay Area at nine and
began mixing vinyl at that age. He first gained attention in 2005 when he
launched the The Tonite Show mixtape series, featuring artists such as
Mistah F.A.B., Raekwon, and the Jacka; the series became a platform for his
work. In 2006, he produced The Real World: West Oakland with J. Stalin, followed
