Doce
Doce was a Portuguese pop all-female band from Lisbon, Portugal, active from
1979 until 1987. Assembled by mentor Tozé Brito to focus on female sensuality,
the group consisted of Lena Coelho, Laura Diogo, Teresa Miguel, and Fátima
Padinha. The band gained mainstream attention with its debut single “Amanhã de
Manhã” in 1980. The group placed 2nd at the Festival da Canção with the song
“Doce” in 1980, followed by a 4th-place finish with “Ali Babá” in 1981,
