Drone is a German metal band from Celle, formed in 2004. The band gained
attention after winning the Wacken Metal Battle in 2006 and released its debut
album, Head-on Collision, in 2007. Their music combines thrash metal, groove
metal, death metal, and metalcore, drawing influences from Fear Factory, Machine
Head, and Pantera. Drone followed with Juggernaut in 2009 and continued touring
extensively across Europe, sharing stages with bands including Overkill,
