Dr. Music was a Canadian jazz and rock group from Toronto that was active
between 1969 and 1984. The ensemble was founded by the producer and arranger
Doug Riley and initially performed as a 16-piece band for the television program
The Ray Stevens Show. They achieved professional success after incorporating the
vocalists Terry Black and Laurel Ward, resulting in their debut eponymous studio
