Mariano Javier Castro, known professionally as Dread Mar-I, was born on January
31, 1978, in Quequén, Argentina. He began his musical journey after moving to
Maipú and later to Buenos Aires, where he started his career as a singer. In
2004, he recorded "Mi amor" with DreadGon and contributed to the album Luz by
Mensajeros Reggae. Dread Mar-I's solo career began in 2005 with the release of
his debut album Jah guía, which included the song "Inspiración", used as the
theme for ESPN's program Gravedad Zero. He collaborated with Los Cafres and
