A worthy representative of American metalcore, Earth Crisis don't beat about the
bush. Combining the energy of punk with the heaviness of heavy metal, the
Syracuse, New York band released their most convincing album in 1995, Destroy
the Machines. Soon out of breath, Earth Crisis went on hiatus from 2002 to 2007,
after five more unconvincing albums. Their comeback in 2009 with To the Death
was no more convincing. Neutralize the Threat in 2011 continues in the same
monotone vein.
