Eddie Hodges, born Eddie Hodges on March 5, 1947, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi,
United States, is an American singer and actor. At age ten, he made his
professional acting debut in the Broadway musical The Music Man, where he
introduced the song "Gary, Indiana". In 1958, Eddie Hodges released his first
single, a duet with Julia Meade titled "How Would It Be Up There?". His
breakthrough came in 1961 when his cover of "I'm Gonna Knock on Your Door" by
