Edmundo P. ZALDIVAR
Edmundo Porteño Zaldívar, born on 9 October 1917 in Palermo, Buenos Aires,
Argentina, was an Argentine guitarist and composer known for his contributions
to folk music. From a young age he showed an interest in music, studying
percussion under Dalmacio Castrillo. He made his debut at the age of seven,
accompanying his father on radio broadcasts. In 1938 he formed his first
folkloric group and later collaborated with musicians including Rosita Quiroga
