Electrafixion was formed in 1994 in the United Kingdom by former Echo & the
Bunnymen members Ian McCulloch (vocals, guitar) and Will Sergeant (guitar),
joined by bassist Leon de Sylva and drummer Tony McGuigan; the group emerged
from the post‑Bunnymen era, drawing on alternative rock influences. Their
initial breakthrough came with the Zephyr EP released in 1994, which entered the
UK Singles Chart at Number 47, followed by the single "Lowdown" in 1995, peaking
