Elida Reyna
Elida Reyna, born on August 17, 1972, in San Antonio, Texas, is an American
singer known for her contributions to Tejano music. Raised in Mercedes, Texas,
she was influenced by Tejano legends like Laura Canales and began performing at
local events in 1988. In 1992, Reyna formed the band Elida Y Avante (EYA) with
Noel Hernandez. Their debut album Atrevete (1994) featured the hit single "Luna
Llena" and earned them gold status. The band won "Rising Group of the Year" at
