Elton Motello
Elton Motello was an English punk rock and new wave band, which also served as
the moniker for lead singer and songwriter Alan Ward. The band released their
debut single, “Jet Boy, Jet Girl”, on the Belgian label RKM in 1977. The song
became a nightclub hit across Europe, the United States, Japan, and Australia,
where it reached number 33 on the National Top Forty chart. Their debut album,
Victim of Time, was released in 1978, followed by their second album, Pop Art,
in 1980. The band disbanded in late 1980 after releasing two subsequent singles.
