Enchantment
Enchantment is an American soul and R&B group formed in Detroit, Michigan, in
1966 by Emanuel “EJ” Johnson, Joe “Jobie” Thomas, Bobby Green, Edgar “Mickey”
Clanton, and David Banks, with Emanuel Johnson as lead vocalist. The group's
breakthrough came in 1976 when the single “Gloria” reached number 5 on the
Billboard R&B chart and “Sunshine” peaked at number 3. In 1977, the group
released its self-titled debut album Enchantment, followed by Once Upon a Dream
