Born in Istres, France, Eniah, whose real name is Hugo Frezal, grew up in
Agadir, Morocco, between market rhythms and family percussion instruments. His
musician father introduced him at an early age to the djembe, then the piano,
influencing his musical ear. Passionate about hip-hop dance as a teenager, he
later founded the Nejma school in Istres. At the age of 14, he began writing,
inspired by IAM, Abd Al Malik and Nekfeu. Confinement marked a turning point: he
