Eric West, born on May 18, 1982, in New York, first made waves in the music
industry under the name Eryk when Stacy Ferguson discovered him in 1996. Before
turning 15, he released the single "End of the World" in Asia, which became a
hit in Japan, reaching Number 6 on the charts. Despite initial success, the
album H2O was pulled from release, and his American debut failed to gain
traction. Stepping away from music, he worked as a radio DJ at WBLS in 1998
