Erramun Martikorena
Erramun Martikorena is a Basque folk singer born on February 1, 1943, in
Baigorri, Baja Navarra, France. Raised in an agricultural family, Martikorena
initially pursued farming and pastoral work before dedicating himself to music.
His debut album, Baigorriko Artzain Laboraria (1978), released under the Elkar
label, featured several popular songs performed a cappella. In 1981, he released
his second album, Otsobi, which included the notable song “Oriko Xoria”. His
career saw significant milestones with the albums Olerkarien Oihartzun (1993),
