Esther Marisol
Esther Marisol González Segovia, born in Yacuiba, Bolivia, on October 21, 1976,
is a prominent Bolivian folk singer celebrated for her performances of
traditional rhythms such as chacareras, cuecas, tonadas, and taquiraris. Raised
in a musical family, she began her career accompanying her brothers' group, Los
Canarios del Chaco, to promote the traditional coplas of southern Bolivia. At
eleven years of age, she made her professional recording debut with her first
album, Tierno clavel, released in 1987 with the collaboration of her brothers.
