Exhorder is a heavy metal band from New Orleans, Louisiana, where frontman Kyle
Thomas founded the group in 1985. Along with Pantera and Machine Head, the band
is considered a pioneer of groove-oriented thrash metal. Exhorder self-released
its first demo, Get Rude, in 1986, then signed with Roadrunner Records and
returned in 1990 with a full-length debut album, Slaughter in the Vatican. Two
years later, Exhorder ascended the throne of thrash metal with The Law, a
