Exile
Exile is an American record producer, DJ, and rapper. Born Aleksander Thomas
Manfredi on May 24, 1977, in Los Angeles, California, Manfredi became known for
coarsely chopped beats that gave off laid-back soulful vibes. Manfredi cited
contemporary producers J Dilla, Jon Brion, and Madlib as his influences.
Collaborating with Aloe Blacc under the name Emanon, Manfredi released the
collaborative albums Imaginary Friends (1996) and The Waiting Room (2005), the
compilation album Steps Through Time 1997–2000 (2001), and the EP Anon and On
