Fanfare Ciocãrlia

Fanfare Ciocărlia is a twelve-member Romani brass band from Zece Prăjini, Romania, formed in 1996. Their music stems from Romani and Romanian folklore, including the Sîrba and Hora dances. Producer Henry Ernst discovered them and arranged their first international performances in 1997. In 1998, they released their debut album, Radio Pașcani. Their second album, Baro Biao – World Wide Wedding (1999), was followed by tours in Japan and Australia.
