Fay Claassen
Fay Claassen, born December 2, 1969, in Nijmegen, Netherlands, is a Dutch jazz
singer. She started her career with dance training at a ballet academy in Arnhem
before studying jazz singing at the Royal Conservatory of the Hague from 1990 to
1996. She performed with bands led by Carolyn Breuer and Tony Overwater and
collaborated with notable musicians including Barry Harris, Toots Thielemans,
Rita Reys, Mike Stern. Her discography includes several solo albums such as With
a Song in My Heart (2000), Sings Two Portraits of Chet Baker (2006), which she
