Feike Asma was a Dutch organist, conductor, and composer who was born as Feike
Pieter Asma in 1912. He studied under Jan Zwart and later at the Royal
Conservatory of The Hague with Jan Koetsier and Hugo van Dalen. Asma served as
the regular organist for the Hooglandse Kerk (1933), the Evangelisch-lutherische
Burgwalkerk (1943), and the Groote Kerk in Maassluis (1965). He is famous for
promoting French symphonic organ music by composers such as Charles-Marie Widor
