First Aid Kit
Swedish duo First Aid Kid was formed in 2007 in Svedmyra, Stockholm, Sweden by
sisters Johanna and Klara Söderberg. Influenced by American folk and country
genres, the group recorded their debut EP Drunken Trees in 2008, followed by
studio album The Big Black and The Blue in 2010 to critical acclaim, bringing
them international notoriety. During their first American tour, First Aid Kit
were contacted by The White Stripes front man Jack White, who invited the duo to
record covers of Buffy Sainte-Marie’s “Universal Soldier” as well as Mel London
