FARIANA
(FKA Farina)
Farina is a Colombian singer and songwriter of Peruvian and Chinese descent who
launched her musical career on the Colombian show 'El Factor X' in 2005, where
she came third. She is one of the pioneers of reggaeton music in Colombia and
was the first female Colombian singer to perform in that genre. Following her
success in the 'El Factor X', Farina released her debut album 'Yo Soy Farina'
and the single 'Regresa A Mi' in 2006. The album had a dancehall flavour. It was
followed by a single release 'Hasta El Final' in 2009, which had a more R&B feel
to it.
