Hailing from Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico, Franco "El Gorila" (Luis Francisco
Cortés Torres) began his career in the mid-2000s as part of Wisin & Yandel's WY
Records collective, gaining early recognition through the influential
compilation Los Vaqueros (2006). He launched his solo journey with the debut
album Welcome to the Jungle (2009), which reached number 5 on the U.S. Billboard
