Franco Mussida, born on March 21, 1947, in Italy, is a guitarist,
singer-songwriter, and composer. He gained prominence as a founding member of
Premiata Forneria Marconi (PFM), an Italian progressive rock band established in
the early 1970s. Mussida's career with PFM included notable albums such as
Storia di un minuto (1972) and L'isola di niente (1974). In addition to his work
with PFM, Mussida founded the Centro Professione Musica in 1984, a music
academy. Notable solo albums include Racconti della tenda rossa (1991) and
Accordo (1995).
