Frank E. Ricotti, born in St Pancras, London, on January 31, 1949, is an English
jazz vibraphonist, percussionist, composer, and arranger. He began playing
vibraphone as a teenager in the National Youth Jazz Orchestra under mentor Bill
Ashton, later studying at Trinity College of Music. During the late 1960s and
1970s, he worked with Neil Ardley, Mike Gibbs, Harry Beckett, Norma Winstone,
Gordon Beck, and others, while leading his own quartet and recording Our Point
of View (1969) and First Wind (1971) with Mike de Albuquerque. From the 1980s
