Frederick Anthony Jackson, born October 2, 1956, in New York City, is an American soul and R&B singer, songwriter, and pianist who began his musical journey playing piano in local churches and performing in regional clubs. In the late 1970s, he joined the New York-based funk and R&B band Mystic Merlin as a vocalist, appearing on the group's albums Mystic Merlin (1981), Sixty Thrills a Minute (1982), and Full Moon (1983).
