Born on August 16, 1945, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Gabriela Parodi, known
mononymously as Gabriela, is a singer and songwriter. She began her musical
career in the early 1970s with her debut single “Campesina del sol” and her
self-titled debut album, Gabriela (1971). In 1972, she participated in the
acoustic festival and corresponding live album El Acusticazo, which was the
first live rock album recorded in Argentina. In 1974, she moved to Los Angeles,
